Chris Paul inspiring others
While
Paul was attending a football game, his cousin gave him some terrible news; his
grandpa was beaten to death right outside his house. Paul said “Everyone has to
die, but I just thought my grandpa was one of those people who never would.”
Paul wanted to honor his grandpa by scoring 61 points in his next game and he
did. He showed incredible courage and strength to pull that off.
Chris Paul works at many camps to help kids with their basketball skills. Chris and his family also established the CP3 Foundation in 2005, a philanthropic partnership with The Winston-Salem Foundation in honor of his late grandfather. The CP3 Foundation highlights Paul’s dedication both to his grandfather’s spirit and to the Winston-Salem, NC community that turned him from a outstanding high school student-athlete to a national star at Wake Forest University.
Paul gives to 5 charities and is evolved with 7 causes
